Description
Why you need glue and seaming tape?
Generally speaking, artificial grass comes in rolls like carpet(turf width mostly is 4 meters or 2 meters, length as requests, packed in rolls). Due to the size and shape of your project, when installing artificial grass, you may need to join several pieces of artificial grass together with special artificial grass adhesive glue and seaming tape (joining tape) to fit the size and shape of your area.
How to use glue and seaming tape
Pictures below show how to use seaming tape and glue to join artificial grass:
(Pictures above just for telling the method of using glue and joint tape to bond artificial grass. Actually, we provide white non-woven seaming tape for two-component glue. )
The two-component glue we provide is a water-free polyurethane adhesive. It is primarily designed for bonding artificial grass carpets to seaming tape; it produces a strong, invisible join.
The two-part adhesive consists of component A, a thick paste, and component B, a fluid hardener. The mixing ratio between the two components is 90:10 (9:1).
To achieve a full bond, the mixing ratio needs to be 9:1, so always use the entire amount of hardener supplied.
How to mix component A and component B together?
The components are already pre-measured: component B is contained in component A pack (Sometimes for safe shipping, we put 4 component B in a separate carton).
Pour component B (1kg) to component A (9 kg), and mix with a low-speed mixer, thoroughly mix both parts together, until a homogeneous and smooth mix is obtained. Recommend stirring 1-2 minutes. You can also mix the two parts manually, but that will take a longer time and more work. You must ensure that both parts are sufficiently mixed.
In winter or low temperatures, stir and mix component A alone first, then add component B and complete the mixing process. After component A and B fully mixed, apply the mixture on the jointing tape using a notched trowel.
